Stenheim Returns
to the Verbier Festival

The 33nd edition of the Verbier Festival came to a close on August 2, 2026, after 18 days of music at the summit. This year’s event once again broke attendance records and the quality and diversity of the program were unanimously praised. We invite you to revisit the highlights of this edition featuring Stenheim loudspeakers at the Verbier Festival 2026.

The Verbier Festival Jukebox

As part of its commitment to preserving and celebrating its heritage, the Verbier Festival presented the Jukebox, an immersive audiovisual space showcasing a selection of its most treasured archives, from historic recordings and concert footages.

Located within the Esplanade des Combins, it welcomed visitors daily before performances and during intermissions.

Through the exceptional combination of the Stenheim Ultime Two SX loudspeakers, two Nagra amplifiers and one Nagra classic II, these archival recordings were reproduced with extraordinary realism, revealing every nuance, depth, and emotion in uncompromising high fidelity for the pleasure of its audience of music lovers.

The Listening Room - Chalet Orny

Seven Alumine Two loudspeakers paired with two Alumine subwoofers create this rare, immersive listening experience

The Academy is at the heart of the Verbier Festival’s identity, a laboratory where tomorrow’s talents are discovered and shaped. Its world-class programs set the standard for artistic and professional training for today’s emerging soloists, ensembles, singers and sound engineers.

The Academy's Listening Room at Chalet Orny was a dedicated space for immersive and critical listening. Mark Willsher (Grammy-winning producer and sound engineer, he combines an international career in film and classical music with a strong commitment to teaching and immersive audio research) and Charlotte Gardner (journalist, broadcaster, critic and author of the Classical Choices Playlist for the Verbier Festival) offered an immersion into the world of recorded sound. Its technical choices, artistic implications, and its impact on our perception. It presented students, faculty, and the public the chance to engage with great recordings of the past and present through 7.1 immersive playback systems.

Composed by seven Stenheim Alumine Two speakers, two Stenheim Alumine S10 subwoofers paired with four dCS stereo DAC Lina and four stereo Nagra Classic amplifiers, the system delivered an immersive, emotionally engaging and remarkably lifelike listening experience.

UNLTD’s ‘Off the Record’ Sessions at The Experimental Chalet

Charlotte Gardner with her hosts

Away from classical music, the Stenheim/Dan D’Agostino and dCS pairing shone at UNLTD’s late-night ‘Off the Record’ listening sessions at the Experimental Cocktail Club. Musicians and personalities explored their favorite non-classical albums.

Playback was powered by a pair of Stenheim Alumine Five SX loudspeakers and driven by Dan D’Agostino Momentum mono amplifiers and preamplifier with a flagship digital source provided by Innuos Nazaré and dCS VARÈSE. Guests were captivated by the natural warmth, precision, and enveloping clarity of the sound, highlighting once again the ability of Stenheim speakers to bring music vividly to life.
